From the artists and musicians to the many young families who find Loveland to be a great place to raise their children. There are many retirees here as well, who enjoy our mild climate and beautiful scenery. From its incredible outdoor activities to the hip downtown area and vibrant nightlife, there is something for everyone here. In summer, Loveland hosts the Old Fashion Corn Roast Festival, where folks enjoy food vendors, music, corn-shucking contests, and duck races. LOVE-Land, in its true form, also hosts the Sweetheart Festival on Valentine’s Day. Loveland organizes and hosts many events throughout the community, and even has an impressive well-organized events calendar on their website. There are many diverse activities on the calendar, such as dog therapy, storytimes, chess club for kids, yoga, and many others. The Loveland Museum is an art and history museum established in 1937 that offers classes and opportunities to connect to the community through ars and history experiences. Loveland has 37 parks, 3 public golf courses, and 700 acres to explore. Boyd Lake State Park is uniquely very central to Loveland, offering bicycling, swimming, boating, and camping. Sneak into the foothills to the impressive towering rock formations of Devil’s Backbone, which is a geological landmark and open space on the west side of Loveland, offering 4.9 miles of trails, and a 15.1-mile trail connecting to Lory State Park. For spectacular views and wildlife viewing, Rocky Mountain National Park is just a 45-minute drive up the Big Thompson Canyon. If one prefers to stay indoors and in town, the vibrant “Old Town” downtown Loveland area has dozens of bars, restaurants, and breweries, including the local favorites Henry’s Pub and the Pourhouse Bar and Grill. No matter your preference for activities, Loveland has something for everyone!
