Serving Weld County
Updated October 2026.
The Ellis Addition covers La Salle's east side, the residential blocks that spread east from the original townsite along Main Street and Todd Avenue. Weld County records carry it as four separate plats — the Ellis Addition plus Ellis 2nd, Ellis 3rd and Ellis 4th — all inside La Salle town limits and all recorded in the town's early growth years. Homes that have sold through IRES in these plats were built between 1909 and 1928, so the streetscape is dominated by one-and-a-half-story bungalows, small gabled farmhouses and modest cottages with covered porches and detached garages reached off the alleys. Lots run from roughly 3,750 square feet on the tighter Main Street blocks to 9,500 square feet on Todd Avenue, which gives the neighborhood an unusual mix for a town this size: small parcels a block from the shops and standard 70-foot residential lots with mature trees and real backyards. Recent recorded sales include a 1928-built three-bedroom on Todd Avenue at $408,000, a 1909 Main Street house at $345,000 and a 1918 cottage at $310,000; an active listing in October 2026 was a 1921 two-bedroom on Todd Avenue at $330,000. Everything here is resale — no HOA and no metro district, so the monthly payment is principal, interest, Weld County taxes and insurance. The Ellis Addition is the walkable part of La Salle. Memorial Park and its baseball fields sit on Todd Avenue behind the Maurice McMahan Community Center, Main Park is a few blocks north at North 2nd Street and 3rd Avenue, and Pete Mirich Elementary is at 300 1st Avenue. Greeley — hospitals, the UNC campus, big-box retail and the restaurant rows — is about 10 minutes east on US 85, the same highway that connects south to Denver and north toward Fort Collins. Schools are Weld County RE-1 (Valley): Pete Mirich Elementary (PK–6) in La Salle, Valley Middle School (7–8) at 300 2nd Avenue, and Valley High School in Gilcrest.
The Ellis Addition is La Salle's east-side historic plat — the Ellis, Ellis 2nd, Ellis 3rd and Ellis 4th Additions along Main Street and Todd Avenue, where 1909–1928 bungalows and small farmhouses trade in the $310K–$410K range a few blocks from downtown.
Weld County records list the Ellis, Ellis 2nd, Ellis 3rd and Ellis 4th Additions — the east side of La Salle's original grid.
Sold homes in these plats were built from 1909 to 1928, with covered porches, compact footprints and detached alley garages.
Memorial Park's ballfields and the Maurice McMahan Community Center are on Todd Avenue; Main Park is a few blocks north.
